Constitution Day, Sept. 17, 1787 Celebrate the ratification of the U.S. Constitution
September 17 is here! ABOTA has a number of resources for Constitution Day. ABOTA has created 10 lesson plans on the Constitution that can be taught in one classroom period. They are available to download from the Scholastic web site at www.scholastic.com/americanjustice.

Students throughout the country will be attending one of ABOTA’s James Otis Lectures on or around September 17:

Olympia, WA - May 1
Palm Beach, FL - September 3
Austin, TX - September 17
Boston, MA - September 17
Buffalo, NY - September 17
Jacksonville, FL - September 17
Tampa Bay  - September 17

Named for an early patriot lawyer, the James Otis Lectures feature distinguished presenters in conversation with high school students and teachers on current constitutional topics. For locations and times, please contact Brian Tyson, Executive Director, at briant@abota.org or (214) 871-7523.

Please share these resources. They are excellent – and free!
