Be a better lawyer. Learn from the Masters. The American Board of Trial Advocates is dedicated to training the next generation of lawyers to meet the highest standards of professionalism and advocacy in the practice of law. ABOTA is an invitation-only organization of 7,600 of the nation’s premier plaintiff and defense trial attorneys. This program, Masters in Trial (MIT), presented by the Washington Chapter of ABOTA will show how some of the most successful trial lawyers in the country conduct aspects of a trial. In addition, the MIT will feature the sitting President of the Washington State Bar Association who will provide a presentation on ethics. And a King County Superior Court Judge will present on the new Washington State General Rule 37 (Jury Selection). Whether you are a novice or seasoned trial lawyer, plaintiff or defense counsel, this program will assist you in your next trial. The seminar is designed to teach by example. The skills you see demonstrated are applicable to virtually every civil case. In addition to the demonstration, time will be reserved for each speaker to answer questions and explain the rationale why they did things a certain way.
